The DVB-ASI Sync card offers a unique possibility to guarantee higher Quality of Service (QoS) for transmission of DVB-ASI signals. The DVB-ASI Sync card does not merely select one from two available ASI transport streams (TS), but using a new technology it recovers corrupted ASI streams. It synchronises two DVB-ASI streams by analyzing both signals and generates the output TS by selecting the best from both transport streams, while maintaining the structure and content of the original TS, as required by SFN applications. This unique feature improves the service availability without additional investment in new Data Links while reducing the cost of ownership. Moreover, the new technology allows the use of lower quality links. Provided that errors occur in different packets of each stream, the DVB-ASI Sync card can correct the DVB-ASI loss rate to 10E-5 BER.
